    BDA NI Committees

    BDA committees meet regularly to consider the issues affecting the dental profession and patient care. BDA representatives take these forward into discussion and negotiation with the Government in Northern Ireland and the range of bodies responsible for delivery of health and social care.

    About the BDA in Northern Ireland
    The British Dental Association is the professional association and trade union for dentists in the UK. The BDA office in Northern Ireland supports member dentists regardless of their role and workplace and provides specialist advice and services to members in Northern Ireland.
    Locally, BDA Northern Ireland is the voice of the dental profession, providing collective views on a wide range of issues to politicians, the press and the public. When it comes to negotiating of terms and conditions of service for dentists in Northern Ireland, BDA is recognised by the Department of Health Social Services and Public Safety and the Northern Ireland Assembly as having the status and authority to negotiate on behalf of the dental profession involved in the delivery of Northern Ireland's health services.

    Each BDA member with an address in Northern Ireland automatically belongs to the Northern Ireland Branch of the BDA. Members of the Northern Ireland Branch can access regular educational lectures and social events arranged by Northern Ireland Branch Council.

    Member events

    In addition to Branch events detailed in the calendar, BDA Northern Ireland arranges training courses and events on topical and local issues for the benefit of members. The programme of events varies and details are available from BDA Events.
